A Frightfully Fun Day on the Course: The First Annual Haunted Scramble
The spirits were high—and thankfully, the skies mostly held up! We are thrilled to report that our First Annual Haunted Scramble Golf Tournament presented by Birdie 30 Golf Club and Golf Mindz Company was a spectacular success, bringing together a field of enthusiastic and festively dressed golfers for a day of spooky fun on the links.
Eighteen foursomes took to the course, meaning 72 golfers were scrambling for glory and great prizes as well as a chance to win the Golf Mindz gold hat which gives winners entry into our Tournament of Champions to be held in April 2026! It was a fantastic turnout for a first-time event, and the energy was palpable. Despite a few minimal sprinkles—just enough to add a little atmospheric chill!—the weather cooperated, allowing everyone to focus on their drives, putts, and ghoulish costumes.
Gear Up Your Game: The Golf Mindz Booth Was a Hit!
Attendees stopped by the Golf Mindz booth and met the awesome crew! They were on a mission to help golfers level up their mental game and look good doing it. While there, everyone checked out their exclusive and eye-catching apparel line. From sharp hats and comfortable shirts to gear designed for golfers who took their style as seriously as their score, Golf Mindz had everything golfers needed to look great and feel confident on the course. They were excited to share their brand and their passion with everyone at the scramble and it was great to get the support from everyone there!
The Pinacle of Precision: Rickey Lucero Wins the Golf Mindz Swag
We'd also like to give a big shout-out to the incredible crew from Golf Mindz for hosting a fantastic Closest to the Pin Challenge on the scenic Hole 14, Par 3! Over 30 brave souls stepped up to test their accuracy, aiming to land their ball nearest to the cup to win some awesome Golf Mindz merchandise. The team was putting out great vibes all day, complete with spooky music and refreshing drinks to settle the nerves before each swing.
While there were some incredibly close shots, the winner was Rickey Lucero, who proved to have the sharpest iron that day by sticking his shot a mere 3 feet, 4 inches from the hole! Ricky walked away with a haul of fantastic apparel, a well-deserved prize for a truly clutch shot.
Costume Contest Winners? Everyone!
One of the highlights of the day was seeing the incredible effort some atendees put into their Halloween-themed attire. From Bert and Ernie to Dumb and Dumber the costumes truly made the tournament a unique and memorable event. There was even a Ricky Bobby sighting, Laughter and cheers filled the air, proving that even a little friendly competition can't dampen the fun when you're dressed for this event. The crowd picked the winner and it was a close one but Harry and Lloyd met there match with Bert and Ernie getting the win with some cool Golf Mindz hats.
The Champions Emerge!
The competition was fierce, but in the end, there could only be one champion. We want to give a massive congratulations to the father-son duo, Jason Painter and his son Bryce, who took home the inaugural Haunted Scramble trophy finishing -8 under par! As newer Birdie 30 members, their victory is an exciting testament to the talent joining our club. We can’t wait to see what they do next!
A huge thank you goes out to every participant who made this event such a success as well as the whole Birdie 30 and Golf Mindz crew whose collaboration made the event memorable.
